In an alternate 1985, a group of masked superheroes, the Watchmen, are retired and living under secret identities. However, when one of their own, the Comedian, is murdered, Rorschach, the last vigilante, believes it's a warning sign that the other Watchmen are in danger. Despite their differences, Rorschach must convince his former colleagues to come out of retirement and uncover the truth behind the Comedian's death before it's too late.
