Two friends, Slip and Sach, lose their jobs after destroying a laundry company's delivery truck. They convince a friend to let them open a laundromat in the back room of his malt shop. Meanwhile, a woman leaves her baby at the launderette to hide him from her aunts, who are trying to gain control of her brother's estate. The friends find the baby and hold onto him, but soon mobsters and the aunts become involved, offering large sums of money to keep the child hidden.
