A teenage runaway, known only as Jack, is on the run from her probation officer and seeks refuge by becoming a live-in helper for a suburban family with an autistic daughter. Despite initial reservations, Jack forms a strong bond with the girl and her mother, finding a sense of belonging and purpose. As Jack navigates her new relationships, she must also confront her past and make a difficult choice between saving herself or someone else.
