A notorious outlaw is brought to Powder River to stop a wave of crimes, prompted by a heartfelt plea from the sheriff's young son. But the outlaw is unaware that the real mastermind behind the plot is the cunning saloon owner, Taggart, who has an accomplice in the sheriff's own brother.

The Durango Kid arrives in Powder River to help stop a crime wave after receiving a letter from the young son of Sheriff Jeff Connor.
