The Durango Kid, also known as Steve Reynolds, is recruited by prospector Cimarron Dobbs to help him secure a vast cache of Spanish gold left in Texas by Santa Anna's army. Dobbs is kidnapped by a gang led by John Munro, owner of the saloon where Dixie King works, and the Durango Kid and his sidekick Smiley ride out to rescue him.
