Om Prakash Makhija, a Junior Artist, falls in love with actress Shantipriya and rescues her from a fire. However, she's married to producer Mukesh Mehra and pregnant. Mukesh sets the studio on fire to prevent a financial loss and Om dies trying to save her. 30 years later, Om is reincarnated as the son of actor Rajesh Kapoor and an actor himself. He meets his mother Bela, remembers his past, and decides to make a movie with Mukesh.
