Young Mija has been caretaker and best friend to a massive animal named Okja in South Korea for 10 years. However, a multinational conglomerate takes Okja away and plans to use her for profit. Mija sets out to rescue her friend, but her journey becomes complicated as she encounters different groups fighting for control of Okja's fate.
